Our Story
Most people don't struggle because there isn't enough information. They struggle because it's scattered across a dozen services, and none of them talk to each other.
Planning for later life often involves decisions about how you want to spend your time, your health, your housing, your finances and the support you may need. Many people aren't sure where to begin or who they can turn to for guidance they can trust.
We believe there should be a more connected approach. Rather than one advisor for your money and another for everything else, we wanted one person who sees the whole picture- your finances, your health, your home, your purpose.
That belief led to the creation of Planwise: real financial and lifestyle planning, from real people, built around one plan for everything that matters.
Our Approach
Ageing well isn't one decision. It's your money, your health, your home and your purpose.
That's why Planwise is built around the Four Pillars of Ageing Well: Purpose, Mind & Body, Legal & Financial, and Where & How You Live. Built on clinical experience and healthy ageing research, this framework gives you direction on what matters, clarity on your options, and confidence in your decisions.
Purpose
Retired, but not sure what to do with your Tuesdays? A sense of purpose matters as much at 75 as it did at 35. We help you stay connected to the people, activities, and opportunities that matter most to you.
Financial and Legal
What could your retirement look like with a solid plan behind it? Our consultants provide financial planning that looks at your whole situation, not just your bank balance. For legal matters, we connect you with trusted, independent professionals.
Mind & Body
What would it take to feel as capable as you did ten years ago? Physical and mental wellbeing play an important role in ageing well. We help you consider the support, services and lifestyle choices that align with your needs and goals.
Where & How You Live
Your living environment influences your independence and quality of life. We help you explore housing, home support, equipment and care options that suit your circumstances.
Meet the Advisors
Real people, not algorithms. Planwise brings together clinical knowledge and hands-on experience, so your plan is grounded in both expertise and reality.

Nicky McGrath
Registered Nurse
Nicky is a Registered Nurse with experience supporting older Australians across hospital and community care. Her background includes care coordination in a Hospital Admission Risk Program and working as a Home Care Package and Support at Home Advisor. This experience gives her a practical understanding of the aged care system, and the challenges people face as their needs change.

Bridie Scanlon
Registered Psychologist
Bridie is a psychologist with more than 15 years of experience supporting people through chronic pain, mental health and healthy ageing.
Her experience helps people consider the emotional, social, and practical aspects of later life planning while keeping their goals and wellbeing at the centre of every decision.

Terry Scanlon
Founding Director
As a Founding Director of Planwise Australia, Terry brings more than 45 years of leading business experience, predominantly within the healthcare and rehabilitation sector.
Terry believes that navigating later life is not something people should have to do alone, and that having a trusted, experienced person to talk through options around interests, employment, health, and financial direction can make all the difference.
This belief is at the heart of Planwise Australia. He saw a genuine gap — and a real need — for thoughtful guidance that helps people make informed, confident decisions so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life in their older years. Planwise exists to meet that need with clarity, compassion, and practical support.

Allan Williams
Founding Director
Allan Williams, a Founding Director here at Planwise Australia, has seen firsthand how much financial uncertainty can shape the direction of someone's life.
While his 'advice' journey arguably started at 12 helping family with their tax returns (back in the Tax Pack days), it formally began in 1999 in public accounting and taxation in Ballarat prior to moving to Melbourne in 2001.
His keen interest in wholistic financial advice for the ageing saw him commence a financial planning practice in 2009.
His company Flinders Partners holds its own Australian Financial Services Licence and specialises in designing financial advice to specifically suit individual needs.
